Dr. Donna Campbell Participates in
2009 National Day of Prayer
Freedom Dinner
Declares the Power of Prayer Must be Invoked
Dr. Donna Campbell, hard-charging Republican candidate for U.S. Congressional District 25, joined hundreds of fellow Texans in a special freedom dinner held on November 7th outside of Austin to raise support and awareness for the National Day of Prayer.
“The freedoms we enjoy did not come free; they came at great personal cost, and they are maintained at great personal cost,” Dr. Campbell said following the event. “Now more than ever, with Congressional leadership doing so precious little to fully support our troops at home and abroad, it’s important for us to recognize and invoke the power of prayer so that—despite the ineffectual maneuverings of those now in power in Washington—this great nation of ours endures.”
The only District 25 candidate of either party to appear at the freedom dinner, Campbell’s commitment to attending was noted by event organizers and guests alike.
“I just feel it’s important to uphold the values our nation was founded on and the tenets the Bible teaches us—whenever, however and wherever possible,” Campbell said.
Dr. Donna Campbell has both a B.S. and M.S. in nursing and is medical director for two emergency medicine rooms. In April of this year, she announced her candidacy for Congress, vowing to help set the nation back on a course in line with our Constitution if elected. “America is in the emergency room and it’s time to stop the bleeding,” noted Campbell.”
