Energy and the Environment

A true conservative for the Texas 25th U.S. Congressional District.
Dr. Donna’s position on the issues.

ENERGY INDEPENDENCE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

I am for good stewardship of our resources but I will never put any species plant or animal over the survival of man and his family. Cutting off the water supply to the “bread basket”, farm lands in California, for a 2 inch delta minnow is the epitome of stupidity! The court that issued the ruling to turn off the water supply as well as the people that want to save the minnow should eat the excess of the saved minnows for dinner daily instead of the fruits and vegetables that were produced in the area. This type of nonsense has to stop.
We have standards in place that promote industrial accountability regarding clean air, water and land. As a result of these standards we have seen a dramatic improvement in our air, water and land. We do not need, to legislate, additional burdensome regulations that will serve as a chokehold on manufacturing and industrial production. We need to create jobs!  Jobs are created when manufacturing and industry are allowed to go forward with responsibility and accountability. Every one could 1st participate in cleaning up the environment by encouraging people to not litter.
