CANDIDACY ANNOUNCEMENT
Dr. Campbell announces her candidacy for U. S. House of Representatives, District 25 in the 2010 Republican Primary.

"We don’t have a minute to waste in this 2010 Race. I am the bold leadership needed to represent our Texas district in the U.S. Congress.
This time if we snooze we lose.

Dr. Donna Campbell has both a B.S. and M.S. in nursing. In 1989 she graduated with multiple honors from Texas Tech Medical School. She completed Ophthalmology residency in 1993 and was given the Morton award for outstanding resident.
Dr. Campbell opted to practice Emergency Medicine and is now also certified in Emergency Medicine by ABPS. Currently she is the Medical Director of two Emergency Departments.

Throughout her life she has been active in several volunteer organizations. As an ophthalmologist she performed numerous eye surgeries annually from 1993-2000 in Ghana, West Africa.

She is cofounder of The Long Term Care Nursing and Rehab Institute, a not for profit teaching program that certifies licensed nurses in Long Term Care.

Climbing, camping and kayaking are some of her most enjoyable vacations. She and her family attend the First Baptist Church in Columbus, Tx.

Her passion is for the issues affecting our veterans, active military and the most vulnerable of our society, our elderly. She will promote the fair tax, push for drilling of domestic oil and limited government.

Like many Texans, Dr. Campbell agrees the liberal U.S. Congress has lost sight of their primary function, which is to responsibly legislate for the good of the people.

“I have the enthusiasm, stamina, tenacity and energy it will take to stand against the liberal Congress.” Dr. Campbell believes it is important to be fiscally responsible in all aspects of legislation. “I believe Congress needs to stop spending and start listening to the people.” She feels she can champion the conservative values that represent the majority of Texans and bring conservative leadership back to Congress.
