There is very little difference between
my family and yours.

Like you, I want to pass a world of
peace and prosperity on to my children.
I want them to grow up knowing the
virtues and values our founding fathers
intended when they came to these distant
shores to create a free society.

I believe America is the greatest country
on God's green earth, the land of opportunity,
and the only nation innovative enough to
put a man on the moon, but it won't stay
that way if everyday citizens don't stand up
and fight for liberty.

America isn't great because of our government
or our wealth or even our military. America is
great because We, the People are the
government!

Together, we can take our country back from
the elite politicians and entrenched special
interests who have been bankrupting us,
both financially and spiritually.

Let's make America exceptional again by
returning power to the people.

Won't you please stand with me?

Donna Sue Burrows was born Sept. 17, 1954 in San Diego, Ca. while her father was in the Navy.  At the age of 6 months the family moved to Oklahoma where she grew up. Her dad became a member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, while her mother worked in factories and later as a unit secretary in hospitals. Late in life her mother received her GED and went on to become an RN. Donna's parents are deceased; she has three younger brothers.

She first met Stan Campbell, a widower with three then school-aged daughters, in Israel at a Tony Evans Tour of the Holy Lands.  The following year they met again and later married, with Donna subsequently adopting Stan's daughters. Four years ago, Donna and Stan together adopted a newborn girl, Anna Beth.

Self motivated and disciplined, Donna began working at the age of 13 and through high school. She next put herself through college, graduate school, and medical school, where her academic achievements earned top recognition from national honor medical society Alpha Omega Alpha. After obtaining her B.S. in Nursing from Central State University, she moved from Oklahoma to Texas.  She completed a Masters in Nursing Degree from Texas Woman's University at Dallas, and then worked for over a decade as a full time nurse in critical and intensive care facilities.

Inwardly driven to upgrade her capacities for serving the sick and the elderly, Donna in 1989 began pursuit of a career in medicine and graduated with honors from Texas Tech University. She then chose a rigorous surgical internship in Dallas, which she says was one of the greatest times in her life.  She then moved to Houston for a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and earned the distinction of Outstanding Resident, and the Morton Award. During this period she was also an active contributor to a variety of medical journals and publications and distinguished herself as a top presenter at conferences.

Donna didn’t confine her drive and ambition to personal achievement. She is a woman of faith and has cheerfully volunteered her talent, serving in Nicaragua as a student and then as an ophthalmologist, performing eye surgeries yearly, in Ghana, West Africa from 1993-2000.  She gained a sense of international purpose while restoring lost vision to hundreds of individuals. “The people would say thank you to God first and then thank me." Donna notes. "This recognition of where the blessing originated just invigorated my desire to help the people of West Africa.”

Dr. Donna Campbell is boarded in Ophthalmology by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and boarded in Emergency Medicine by the ABPS.  Notes Donna, “I chose emergency medicine as a full time practice and ophthalmology as an avenue to help the blind or of low vision internationally.”  Currently she is the Medical Director of two Emergency Medicine Rooms. “The emergency room is both an exciting and tough experience.  But it’s one that prepares me to move right into politics because the work is all about providing quality service for people, just doing it in a split second. I do the reading long before I am in an emergency situation!”

Dr. Campbell is emergency department medical director for Columbus Community Hospital, and periodically serves the emergency departments of other hospitals in the area.

Donna Campbell served as Precinct Secretary, Precinct 62 Lubbock, Texas (1985 – 1986) and became a full delegate for Texas (1986 Texas State Republican Convention). She has been a diligent voter since being old enough to cast a ballot, and has faithfully marked her ballot in step with GOP tenets.

In March of 2010, Donna Campbell earned nearly 70 percent of the GOP primary vote and is now working to unseat ultra liberal Lloyd Doggett from the U.S. House, District 25, Texas.

Dr. Donna Campbell is running for Congress to limit federal government to the bounds of the U.S. Constitution as written—not as interpreted. This will shrink the national debt and restore governing power to the states.

She will also work to enact a fair tax in place of the unfair federal tax on income, ensure the nation’s defense is strong, and fight to lift burdensome regulations to create jobs for Texas and the nation.
